RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch

I love watching the birds that visit our garden. During winter I feed them a mix of sunflower seeds, mealworms and suet pellets and am rewarded by regular visits from Blue tits, Great tits, Cole tits, Blackbirds, a Wren and a Robin.

I take part in the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch at the end of January each year. This year I delighted to count more birds than the previous two years. During the hour sat with a cup of tea and my binoculars a saw: 4 Blue tits, 1 Robin, 1 Wren, 2 Blackbirds, 1 Cole Tit, 1 Great tit and 2 Long-tailed tits.

I was thrilled to see the long Tailed tits as I haven’t seen them in our garden before.

Binoculars, notebook and cup of tea on a table.
